The Grizzlies

By: Trevor Chartrand You’ll be hard pressed to find a more Canadian film than The Grizzlies;  the inspiring true story of an impoverished Nunavut community battling mental illness by creating a sports team.  Over ten years in the making, this long-time passion project of director Miranda de Pencier is a not only a well-made dramatic film, but also a small taste of the type of media representation First Nations and Inuit citizens deserve.

Super Troopers 2

After 17 years, the sporadically-anticipated sequel to the 2001’s Super Troopers has pulled into cinemas.  Written and starring the Broken Lizard comedy troupe (Jay Chandrasekhar, Paul Soter, Steve Lemme, Erik Stolhanske, Kevin Heffernan) and directed by their very own Chandrasekhar, Super Troopers 2 is what you would expect from a sequel of a cult classic.

The Three Stooges

By: Addison Wylie The lowbrow comedic team known as the Farrelly Brothers have always enjoyed slapstick humour and sight gags, so it’s no surprise to see these two directing and co-writing the modern adaptation of The Three Stooges.
